Jesus Rebukes The People Against Selfishness
The multitudes were
wild with selfish thought. None recognized the rights and needs of any other
one. The stronger pushed the weak aside, and trampled on them in their haste to
be the first to get a blessing for himself. And Jesus said, “Behold the cage of
beasts untamed. A den of stinging vipers, maddened by their fiendish (cruel)
greed of selfish gain!I tell you, humanity, the
benefits that come to humanity who see no further than themselves are baubles
in the morning light. They are unreal. They pass away. The selfish soul is fed
today. The food does not assimilate. The soul grows not, and then it must be
fed again, and then again.”
The Return Of Unclean Spirit
“Behold, a selfish man possessed by just one spirit of the air. By the
omnipotent word, Yahweh, the spirit is cast out. It wanders through dry places,
seeking rest and finding none. And then it comes
again. The selfish man has failed to close and lock the door. The unclean
spirit finds the house all swept and cleaned. It enters in and takes with it
full seven other spirits more unclean than is itself. And there they dwell. The
last state of the man is more than sevenfold more wretched than the first. And
so it is with you who snatch the blessings that belong to other men.”
Remain Steadfast In Prayers Against The Return Of An Unclean Spirit
"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he
goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, 'I will
return to my house from which I came. ' And when he
comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with
him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell
there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also
be with this wicked generation.”
Explanations:
1.
Many people come for their prayers to be answered.
2.
And once their prayers are answered, you shall not see
then again, until they get into trouble.
3.
After their prayers are answered, people should remain
steadfast in keeping the Sabbath, in attending prayers and worship, and in
abiding by the word of God, in attending the seven annual festivals of God, and
in observing the laws of holiness. Even so all in righteousness.
The
Most Blessed People
While Jesus spoke a
certain woman who stood near exclaimed, “Most blessed
is the mother of this man of God!”
And Jesus said, “Yes, blessed is she. But doubly blessed are they who hear,
receive and live the word of God.”
And it happened, as He spoke these things, that
a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is
the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed
You!"
But He said, "More than that, blessed are
those who hear the word of God and keep it!"
Explanations:
1. Only those who do the will of God shall
inherit the kingdom of heaven.
2. They gain everlasting treasures and
pleasures.
3. Other people go to hell fire, a place of
utter darkness, in everlasting torment and gnashing of teeth.
4. The righteous saints are not those who read,
preach, or teach the word of God.
5. And they are not those who claim to be
Christians, born again or believers.
6. Those who inherit the kingdom of heaven are
those who do the will of God.
